In 2020, Maeva Heim set out to simplify the hair routines of naturalistas everywhere with Bread Beauty Supply, a line of nourishing hair necessities wrapped in chic glass bottles and pouches. Her hair oil is award-winning, her oversized puffy scrunchies beloved. Bread is Black owned.

 

Yam is a made to order, handmade jewelry brand based in Queens, NY and founded by designer Morgan Thomas. The line is inspired by Thomas' late mother who introduced her to jewelry making at a young age. Yam is Black owned and woman operated.

 

Hija de tu Madre celebrates the beautiful mess that is being Latina and Latinx. Hija de tu Madre is a creative outlet that celebrates the complexities of being a product of more than one culture. Thus, Hija de tu Madre caters to Latinx who bravely question everything, while reconciling our complicated history, culture, and identity.

 

From a partner duo to a team of nine, Golde has witnessed immense change—a large portion of which founder, Trinity Mouzon Wofford, attributes to the rise of investment in Black-owned businesses that stemmed from reignited Black Lives Matter protests in 2020.

 

Yesika Salgado is a Los Angeles based Salvadoran poet who writes about her family, her culture, her city, and her fat brown body. She has shared her work in venues and campuses throughout the country. Salgado is a two time National Poetry Slam finalist and the recipient of the 2020 International Latino Book Award in Poetry.

Wild Accelerator is a 501(c)3 developed to holistically support diverse, imaginative, innovative Black and Latinx femme-identifying founders looking to better our world, engaging community, and creating equity for all. Applications for Wild Season 3 are now open! You have until December 8th to apply, 6-8 founders will be selected in January to be a part of this amazing program.
